AuditOne TIC OS
An AI native operating system for certification and inspection bodies.
- Headquarters
- Cologne, Germany
- Built for
- Certification and inspection bodies of any size
- Best for
- Full lifecycle automation with AI
TIC OS is built by AuditOne GmbH in Cologne as an operating system for the whole Testing, Inspection and Certification workflow. It automates certification and inspection body operations end to end, from client intake and auditor deployment through to final certification and reporting. Most CB software began as a tool for one part of the process and grew outward. TIC OS was designed to cover the entire chain in one data model. The application, the contract review, the audit programme, the audit itself, the technical review and the certificate all draw from the same record.
Accreditation as logic, not paperwork
TIC OS treats accreditation requirements as rules the system executes. Audit duration under IAF MD 5, multi site sampling under MD 1 and competence management under MD 7 run as automated workflows. In practice, the duration calculations, sampling decisions and competence checks an accreditation assessor reviews are produced the same way every time and can be traced back to their inputs. For CBs that have struggled with inconsistent duration calculations across offices or planners, this is one of the most tangible benefits of TIC OS.
AI and automation at the core
AI is where TIC OS differs most clearly from the rest of the field. Other platforms add AI as a separate analytics product, a premium module or a later implementation phase. TIC OS was designed around AI from the start. Its goal is to automate the high volume, non judgmental phases of the ISO audit lifecycle so technical experts can concentrate on risk assessment and quality decisions. The judgment that accreditation requires stays with qualified people, and TIC OS removes the administrative work around it. TIC OS also supports multi standard audits within integrated management systems, with unified collection of audit evidence.
Remote and hybrid audits
TIC OS supports remote audits and hybrid audit planning, so CBs can combine onsite and remote audit days in one programme and plan them in one place. This matters as more schemes accept remote techniques for parts of an audit, and as CBs try to reduce travel without losing control of the audit programme.
Infrastructure and data
TIC OS is ISO/IEC 27001 certified and runs on AWS infrastructure in the EU, with Frankfurt as the primary region and Ireland as backup. The AI layer uses AWS Bedrock, and the foundation model provider has no access to customer data. Enterprise CBs with stricter IT requirements can run TIC OS self hosted on Azure. Beyond management systems certification under ISO/IEC 17021, TIC OS is extending into inspection (ISO/IEC 17020) and product certification (ISO/IEC 17065).
More than software
TIC OS is the only platform in this comparison connected to an auditor marketplace. AuditOne's network of 1,500+ vetted ISO and security auditors helps CBs running TIC OS close capacity gaps when audit volumes rise or a specific competence is needed. CBs running on TIC OS also receive a featured listing in AuditOne's certification body database. TIC OS currently runs in the browser; a native mobile app is on the roadmap.

ViaSyst
Audit and CB management SaaS built by former certification body operators.
- Headquarters
- Renens, Switzerland
- Built for
- Small and medium CBs, ABs, scheme owners
- Best for
- Field auditing and scheme networks
ViaSyst describes itself as a provider of end to end audit and CB management SaaS for small and medium certification bodies, accreditation bodies and scheme owners, and has been on the market since 2008. Its founders built the product on 20 years of experience running their own certification body, and that background shows in how closely the modules follow day to day CB operations.
Coverage
ViaSyst aims to provide a fully dematerialised solution from application to certification, covering contract, planning, reporting, audit review and invoicing data. Auditor qualification is managed by standard and scope, with evidence of witnessing and maintenance stored alongside. Scheduling covers the full certification cycle, from initial certification through surveillance and recertification, with map and calendar views and an automatic check that the assigned auditor is qualified. After the audit, reports are evaluated by an assigned reviewer, the certification decision and status history are tracked, and reports are locked once validated.
Field work and clients
ViaSyst's strongest feature for auditors is its offline app. Auditors can type or dictate findings with voice recognition, attach photos as evidence, sort findings for the closing meeting and synchronise once back online. A customer portal lets clients register sites, complete self assessments, upload documents, manage corrective actions and download certificates and reports. CBs can also publish a public certificate list on their own website for validity checks.
Standards and integrations
ViaSyst supports management system, product, service and competence certification, private and official standards, and accreditations under ISO 17021, 17065, 17020 and 17024. APIs connect to CRM and accounting software, the IAF CertSearch database and scheme owners' databases.
Commercial model
Pricing is usage based, and 10% of regular fees go to generic improvements that benefit all clients, with custom development available for specific needs. Scheme owners such as FAMI QS use ViaSyst to manage their CB networks, and the client list includes CBs affiliated with Bureau Veritas, DNV, TÜV SÜD and TÜV NORD. ViaSyst does not describe AI features on its website; its automation centres on consistency checks and planning alerts.

Zertic
A certification platform designed to be adopted in phases.
- Headquarters
- Eindhoven, Netherlands
- Built for
- Certification, inspection and accreditation bodies
- Best for
- Phased, modular rollout
Zertic, based in Eindhoven with offices in North America and Latin America, positions its platform as built around how certification and inspection actually work, designed for accreditation from the ground up rather than adapted from generic software. Its customer logos include DEKRA, Kiwa, Normec, TÜV Nederland and Tasneef.
Phased adoption
Zertic's defining concept is that CBs do not have to implement everything at once. Phase 1 (Control) establishes the connected workflow from CRM to finance, with API integrations from the start. Phase 2 (Optimize) adds digital checklists and reports, automated quote calculation, digital certificates, automated invoicing and time registration. Phase 3 (Propel) adds BI, a business rule engine and AI. This suits CBs that want to modernise step by step without rebuilding their workflow at each stage.
Accreditation depth
IAF mandatory documents and ISO/IEC 17021 requirements are embedded in the Zertic Foundation. Combined and integrated audits, complex multi site programmes and competence based planning that respects scope, rotation and impartiality are handled natively. For multi site clients, Zertic manages scope, risk level and clusters per site, multi year programmes and team scheduling across multiple standards within one programme.
AI approach
Zertic takes a deliberately governed view of AI. Its position is that AI should speed up work where mistakes can be fixed, while firm rules govern decisions where they cannot. AI Insights and an AI Audit Assistant are available as phase 3 modules, with the Business Rule Engine acting as a guardrail. Open APIs allow any AI vendor to be added, so CBs choose their models and keep their data.
Implementation and support
Implementation follows a four step methodology covering configuration, data migration, testing, training and rollout, supported by an Online Academy and super user training. New functionality is released every quarter and included in the licence. Zertic is a strong fit for CBs and inspection bodies with a broad scheme portfolio that value a structured, phased rollout.

Intact
Enterprise ERP for audits, certification, accreditation and standards.
- Headquarters
- Lebring, Austria
- Built for
- CBs, scheme owners, accreditation bodies
- Best for
- Enterprise scale and on premise
Intact, headquartered in Lebring, Austria, is the largest platform in this comparison by reported footprint, with 10M+ audits conducted, 50k+ auditors using its products, use in more than 160 countries and 3k+ standards operated in the software. Its customers include TÜV SÜD, SGS, Kiwa, TÜV NORD, Ecocert, ANAB, MSC and Rainforest Alliance. Five Arrows, the private equity arm of Rothschild & Co, invested in Intact in September 2024.
Four audiences
Intact serves certification bodies, scheme owners, accreditation bodies and supplier audit programmes. The scheme owner use case sets Intact apart: scheme owners can control scheme versions, monitor CB performance and maintain integrity across every certification body in their network. Better Cotton, for example, requires its certification bodies to manage key steps of the certification process on the Intact Platform. More than 20 accreditation and control bodies have approved the platform.
Coverage and deployment
The Intact Platform centralises client acquisition, planning, audit execution, findings management, certificate issuance, invoicing and reporting. Certificates carry QR codes for verification, and mobile apps support offline onsite auditing. Intact is one of the few vendors offering both cloud and on premise deployment, which matters for large organisations with strict IT policies.
AI and data
Intact's AI story rests on its data model. Every audit, finding and certification decision is captured in one structured data model that feeds dashboards and AI powered insights. Separately, Intact Analytics detects anomalies, identifies patterns and root causes from auditor annotations, predicts audit results and suggests focus areas for the next audit. Intact states that its customers see a 3 to 4x return on total cost of ownership.
Entry option
For smaller CBs, Intact Spark is a plug and play product with ready to use ISO templates, branded report generation and simple certificate creation, with an upgrade path to the full Intact Platform. Intact is best suited to large CBs, scheme owners and accreditation bodies that need enterprise scale.

kameon
Structured audit planning, execution and reporting, licensed by audit volume.
- Headquarters
- Berlin, Germany
- Built for
- Auditors, CBs, internal audit teams
- Best for
- Audit execution in the DACH market
kameon, developed by kameon GmbH in Berlin, focuses on the audit itself: planning, execution and reporting. The platform aims to replace Word, Excel and isolated tools with structured processes for internal audits, certification bodies and auditors. Customers include GG CERT and All Cert, and kameon is a partner of the German quality association DGQ.
Three packages
kameon Core serves individual auditors and QM users, kameon Certification serves CBs and environmental verifiers managing complex audit programmes, and kameon Corporate serves companies running internal audits across sites. For certification bodies, the licensing model is notable: kameon is licensed by audit units rather than users, with packages planned in advance and usable over 12 months, and better terms at higher volumes.
Audit execution
Auditors capture checklists, findings, evidence and actions directly in the system, and reports are prefilled automatically. Team audits support defined roles such as lead auditor and co auditor, and multi tenancy keeps client data strictly separated. Multi site, multi client and multi standard programmes can be planned centrally, and findings and actions are tracked across audit cycles. An offline audit app is available for iOS and Android, with data synchronised later.
Standards and compliance
kameon is designed to support accreditation standards such as ISO 17021 and management system standards including ISO 9001, 14001, 27001, 45001, 50001 and EMAS, with structured time documentation and clause logic. Data is processed only in European data centres and encrypted in transit and at rest.
AI
kameon recently added AI support for routine audit work. The AI stays under human control, makes no independent decisions or actions, and data is neither shared across organisations nor used to train third party models. A 30 day trial is available. kameon is a good fit for auditors and CBs in the DACH region who want structured, standards based audit documentation. It places less emphasis on the commercial front end of the CB lifecycle, such as quoting and contract review.

Checkfirst ScheduleAI
AI scheduling for certification, inspection and accreditation bodies.
- Headquarters
- London, UK
- Built for
- Certification, inspection and accreditation bodies
- Best for
- Automating auditor scheduling
Checkfirst was founded in London in 2021 and is venture backed, including by Notion Capital. Its product, ScheduleAI, focuses on one job: assigning the right auditor or inspector to every audit and keeping the plan intact as things change. Checkfirst names AENOR, Control Union, DQS and UKAS as live customers, and its advisors include former leaders of UKAS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV SÜD, SGS and UL Solutions.
A scheduling specialist, not a full system
Checkfirst is the only platform in this comparison that does not aim to run the whole certification lifecycle. Checkfirst states that ScheduleAI does not replace an ERP or certification system: the existing system stays the record of the business, and ScheduleAI connects to it through a REST API and webhooks, with a prebuilt integration for Intact and an engine only option behind your own interface. Certification bodies therefore still need a separate platform for applications, contract review, audit execution, technical review and certification decisions.
Rules and accreditation
ScheduleAI checks 35+ rules on every allocation. When no single auditor holds every competency, it builds a team of a lead auditor and a co auditor who together make the audit compliant, and anyone ruled out is shown with the reason. Competence, rotation and impartiality are kept on record. Multi site audits under IAF MD 1 are planned as one programme, with nearby sites grouped into trips. For IAF MD 5, ScheduleAI uses the audit days set by the certification platform or procedure and does not change them, so the duration calculation itself sits in the CB's main system.
AI approach
Checkfirst separates planning from language work. Deterministic optimisation decides the plan, so results are repeatable and explainable. AI agents handle the work around it: emailing clients for preferred and excluded dates, sending reminders, escalating, and proposing dates. Ready made agents cover jobs such as rescheduling a refused audit, moving subcontracted days to qualified internal auditors and clustering travel by region. Planners approve every change, every run is logged, and AI can be switched off for an organisation. Customer data is not used to train models.
Reported results
Checkfirst reports that at one global certification body, ScheduleAI scheduled 49,000 audit hours across 800 auditors in 12 countries in 12 minutes, a task that previously took a month. It also reports that a European certification body raised its internal share of work from 59% to 73%.
Security and commercial model
Checkfirst is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and hosted in AWS Ireland, with independent penetration testing and a 99.9% uptime SLA. Onboarding starts with a free two week custom demo on the CB's own data, followed by a four week scoping and integration phase at a fixed fee and an eight week pilot. The annual licence is priced per scheduled day, with lower rates at higher volumes, plus an annual platform fee.
Checkfirst is a strong option for larger certification and inspection bodies whose main bottleneck is auditor planning and that want to keep their existing system. CBs looking to automate the full lifecycle, from application to certificate, will need a complete platform such as TIC OS, Zertic or Intact, either instead of or alongside a scheduling layer.
